Built around how Africa comes online

Identity for Africa. That understands Africa.

Your phone number is the starting point. Your identity goes further. YeboID brings phone-first sign-in, a lasting identity and control over what you share to the people and businesses building Africa’s digital future.

Secured by phone verification and a private PIN

Nº 01What YeboID is

One identity that’s yours for life — even when your number isn’t.

The on-ramp

Phone-first by design

Sign in with the phone number you already use — verified once with a one-time code and a private PIN. No email, no password.

The identity

Yours for life

Your YeboID is bigger than any one number. Change your phone, your SIM or your device, and your identity — and everything tied to it — stays the same.

The boundary

Private by default

Personal details live inside YeboID and are never copied into the apps you use. Each one sees only the fields you choose to share.

Nº 02Getting issued

One identity. A familiar way to sign in.

  1. 01

    Enter your phone

Start with the number you already use every day. No email, no form to fill in.

  2. 02

Verify with a code + PIN

Confirm a one-time code and set a private PIN. That pairing is your security — there is no password.

  3. 03

    Take your identity with you

Use your YeboID wherever an app supports it, and choose the information you share when you connect.

Nº 03Built for Africa

“Identity should fit the way we live.”

People change SIMs, replace phones and move between services. A phone number opens the door, but the person behind it matters more. YeboID keeps your identity connected through those changes, with your personal information under your control.

Phone numbers come first
Start with the number you already use. An email address is not a condition for belonging online.
Life moves between devices
Your identity stays with you when you change your phone, SIM or device.
Your details stay yours
Choose which profile information to share with each connected app.

Nº 04Build for African users

Build African experiences on an identity that fits.

Give your app identity built around African users. Start with the phone number they already use, keep personal details in YeboID, and connect through open authentication standards.

  • Standard OAuth 2.0 + OpenID Connect with PKCE — works with what you already know.
  • Drop-in SDKs for Node, web and Flutter; a JWKS endpoint for everyone else.
  • Give your users phone-first sign-in they already trust — no password resets to support.

Phone login, OAuth and your first integration.

How do I add phone login to my app?

Register your application, configure its callback URL and connect it to YeboID’s hosted sign-in. Your users authenticate with their phone number and approve the profile information they share.

Follow the integration guide →

Does YeboID support OAuth and OpenID Connect?

Yes. YeboID uses the authorization code flow with PKCE. Your app receives tokens after sign-in, while your API validates access tokens using the published signing keys.

Which SDK should I use?

Use the Node.js SDK for your backend, the web SDK for browser and React applications, or the Flutter SDK for mobile integration. Each guide covers its own setup and supported interfaces.

Where does my users’ personal information live?

Keep personal information in YeboID. Store the stable YeboID user identifier in your app, then request only the profile fields your users have permitted through the userinfo endpoint.
